Dolgoch Falls, are 3 waterfalls near together, in a picturesque valley.

The area is known for the falls, the moss that grows here, and the railway.

Talyllyn Railway steam train passes overhead on the viaduct that bridges the Fathew Valley.

Talyllyn Railway runs nearby and you can get here by using this railway and passengers alight at Dolgoch station,  rejoining the train later in the day.

There are quite a few holiday properties promoted very near to these falls.

Round trip of about 1 hour:-

  • Starting from the car park at the Dolgoch Falls Hotel, turn left and continue along the path through a gate until reaching the river. Walk on alongside the river until reaching the Lower Falls.
  • From the lower falls, follow the ascending path that bears left, which eventually splits into two paths. At this point take the right fork and continue along the path by the river.
