CaerBwdi Bay

A small rocks-and-pebbles beach, though some sand is exposed at low tide. Itís south-facing and quite sheltered, and usually quiet apart from the occasional passing walker on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

The distinctive purple sandstone of Caerbwdi was quarried in Medieval times to provide the fine edging stone for St Davids Cathedral.

Getting there: From the Haverfordwest-St Davids road (A487) thereís a footpath leading 0.6 miles (1 km) to the bay. Limited parking just off the main road.
